If you are looking to spice up your weekend grilling, here's a delectable smoked bratwurst recipe that marries the rich flavors of BBQ with a hint of sweetness. This dish is not just any ordinary sausage meal, it's a unique twist on traditional bratwurst, perfect for any gathering or family dinner.
Start by generously seasoning your bratwursts with your favorite BBQ rub. Place brats on smoker for about an hour at 250 degrees(make sure they have good color).
Remove brats after an hour and cut each one into 4 equal sized pieces after resting for 10 min.. This will allow them to soak up more of the delicious sauce!
Pour your half bottle of BBQ sauce over brats, then sprinkle brown sugar. Lastly, distribute pats of butter.
Cover with foil, and place back on smoker.
Increase temp to 300 degrees and allow to cook 1 hr covered, stirring once. Enjoy after allowing to cool!
